Attorneys for the man who lost his life following a car crash with VENUS WILLIAMS have demanded the athlete’s phone records.
Venus has been charged with the wrongful death of Jerome Barson after police in Florida ruled she was allegedly responsible for the accident which eventually took his life in June (17).
And lawyers representing the deceased man’s estate claim the sports star’s bills and records for any smartphones and devices Venus owns are vital in their ongoing case.
Sources tell TMZ the lawyers want to make sure Venus was not talking, texting or using her phone in any way in the moments leading up to the 9 June (17) crash in Palm Beach Gardens.
Attorney Michael Steinger has also requested prescriptions for any medications Venus may have taken within 72 hours of the accident, even though police officials have already confirmed drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the accident.
Meanwhile, Venus is in England competing for the Wimbledon tennis crown – she’ll take on Spain’s Garbine Muguruza for the women’s title on Saturday (15Jul17).
