Beyoncé is dipping her toes into the festive market with her own line of holiday merchandise.
The superstar is tapping into the success of her visual album Lemonade, which dropped in April (16), for her Christmas offerings. Fans can now snap up T-shirts, sweatpants and hoodies, adorned with lemons and Christmas touches, all of which are sold via her online store.
One white crop tee features an image of a red stocking stuffed with lemons, Beyoncé’s take on the traditional orange found in a stocking. There’s also a red hoodie featuring the words “I Sleigh All Day” and red sweats with “Boy Bye” written across the back. Prices range from $14 for boy shorts underwear to $60 for the hoodie and sweat pants.
Lemonade caused a stir when it was launched, with fans lapping up Beyoncé’s sixth studio album after the singer teased details of the project in the lead-up to its release.
One of the record’s tracks, Sorry, led many to speculate that Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z had been unfaithful because of the lyric, “He only want me when I’m not there/He better call Becky with the good hair.” Fashion designer Rachel Roy and singer Rita Ora were both reported to be Becky with the “good hair”, though the two stars denied this was the case.
The new line adds to Beyoncé’s burgeoning fashion empire, joining her hugely successful Ivy Park athleisure range with Topshop.
The 35-year-old isn’t the only star wanting a slice of the festive market; Whoopi Goldberg has also released her own Christmas offerings, with an 11-piece “ugly” sweater line debuting in October (16).
