GAVIN ROSSDALE has reportedly been axed from THE VOICE U.K. and will not return for the seventh season.
The Bush frontman joined the coaching panel of the talent show when it moved to its new home of ITV, after five seasons on the BBC.
But according to editors at The Sun, sources have confirmed that he has been dropped because show bosses felt he “lacked charisma”.
“Gavin was great to work with during the series,” an insider told The Sun on Sunday. “But the bosses just felt he wasn’t right in the end.
“He didn’t make much of an impact, and they want someone with serious spark and charisma.”
They also went on to say that McFly star Danny Jones, who appeared on The Voice Kids, is the name that’s being bandied around to fill the hot seat.
“Danny is currently one of the favourites to replace him,” they speculated.
A spokeswoman for Gavin declined to comment on the report, while ITV representatives also refused to comment, simply stating that “it is too early to confirm the line-up for 2018.”
For the sixth season of The Voice U.K, Gavin was joined on the judging panel by Jennifer Hudson, Tom Jones and Will.i.am.
