Opera singer KATHERINE JENKINS is expecting her second child with husband ANDREW LEVITAS.
Katherine, who is already mother to two-year-old daughter Aaliyah, with her American spouse, announced the happy news on her Instagram page on Tuesday (14Nov17).
Sharing a snap of Aaliyah dressed as a superhero, with the words “Sidekick Coming Soon” written across it, Katherine wrote: “Andrew and I are overjoyed that our family will be growing in 2018 with the addition of our second child – a baby brother for our little superhero Aaliyah!!!”
The baby news also comes after Katherine spoke to Britain’s Hello! magazine earlier this month about her desire to add to her family with another tot.
“It’s all about timing, but I would really love to have a second child and for Aaliyah to have a sibling, to have a friend in the world,” she smiled.
She also added during an interview with The Sun newspaper earlier this year: “We definitely want another child. There’s no ovulation charts on the wall or anything, not yet anyway… but that’s because I’m about to go on tour.
“But we hope we will be lucky enough to have a second child.”
The Welsh soprano previously waxed lyrical about motherhood, admitting she hadn’t realised just how much having a child would “enrich” her and Andrew’s lives.
“She has enriched us as a couple,” she told Hello! previously. “We both love being a family and don’t ever want to be apart from one another. She has completed us. We are a team.”
Katherine will be kicking off her Christmas tour on 1 December in Leicester.
She and artist Andrew tied the knot at Hampton Court Palace in September 2014, just five months after they got engaged following a whirlwind romance.
