KRISTEN BELL and MANDY MOORE helped make little girls’ dreams come true at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California on Friday (14Jul17) as part of the largest gathering of Disney princesses in history.
The actresses, who played animated royals in Frozen and Tangled, respectively, teamed up with Moana’s Auli’i Cravalho, Kelly MacDonald, who voiced Merida in Brave, Anika Noni Rose (The Princess and the Frog), Irene Bedard (Pocahontas), Linda Larkin (Aladdin), the original Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Paige O’Hara, and Jodi Benson, who gave The Little Mermaid’s Ariel a voice, to promote Disney’s Wreck-It-Ralph sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet.
The ladies all feature in a scene from the film that pays homage to all the Disney princesses.
The new movie, which will hit cinemas in November, 2018, will also feature a new character, called Yesss, voiced by Empire star Taraji P. Henson.
The first day of this year’s D23 Expo, dubbed the Ultimate Disney Fan Event, also featured tributes to Carrie Fisher, Whoopi Goldberg, Stan Lee, and Oprah Winfrey, who were all named Disney Legends at an awards ceremony, and sneak peaks and details of new films, including Frozen 2, Toy Story 4, The Incredibles 2, Coco, and holiday special Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, which will feature the voices of Frozen stars Bell, Jonathan Groff, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad, who surprised fans by performing new song That Time of Year in character as snowman Olaf.
The 21-minute featurette will hit the big screen ahead of Disney/Pixar’s next big release, Coco, in November (17).
