KYLIE MINOGUE has come to terms with the fact she’ll never have children herself.
The 49-year-old singer has missed out on parenthood due to being unlucky in love over the years.
And while she hasn’t given up on love, Kylie admitted to the Sunday Times magazine that she’s come to terms with the fact that she will never have her own babies.
“Of course I wonder what it would be like… to be a mother and look into your child’s eyes… but your destiny is your destiny,” she said. “It would be a lie to say there’s not a bit of sadness there, but I don’t get caught up in it. I can’t. I mean, what can I do?
“If by some miracle I got pregnant at this point in my life, could I even manage that? Been down that road numerous times.”
Kylie added that when she hopefully does meet someone new to have a relationship with, they may have children – and a stepmother role is one she could see herself in.
“There’s a high probability that if/when I meet someone they will have children anyway. So I could imagine being a stepmum,” she smiled.
Kylie’s sister Dannii, who is mother to seven-year-old son Ethan with former beau Kris Smith, previously opened up about her sibling’s “sadness” at missing out on motherhood during an interview last year.
“It’s a great sadness for her, it’s a great sadness for me and it’s also made me really understand how blessed I was to be a mother,” the 46-year-old told the Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine.
Kylie is also an aunt to her brother Brendan’s 11-year-old son Charles.
