BLAKE SHELTON’s singing protegee RAELYNN has postponed plans to release her debut album until 2017.
The 22-year-old, who rose to fame after competing on Team Blake during season two of U.S. TV talent show The Voice in 2012, had been expected to unveil WildHorse on 2 December (16), but now fans will have to wait a little longer to hear her new material.
Explaining the reason for the delay in a press release, the singer reveals, “An amazing opportunity has come along that’s changed the way I’m thinking about my debut album launch.”
“The big news will be coming soon,” RaeLynn continues. “I am SO excited to share it with you all and make 2017 the year of the WildHorse!”
The rising star’s first full-length studio project is still expected to feature her current single Love Triangle, and Say, her collaboration with Dan + Shay, among other new tunes.
A new date for the album has yet to be officially announced, but Apple iTunes officials have listed WildHorse as available for pre-order, with a launch date of 30 June (17).
