8. Christopher Reeve
The late Christopher Reeve is known for his role in the 1978 production of Superman and the equestrian accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. In a memoir titled, Nothing Is Impossible: Reflections on a New Life, he discussed his involvement with Scientology.
He stated that he grew skeptical of the church when he was auditing, and when he told lies about a previous incarnation that was actually inspired by a tale from the Greek mythology. Reeves said the fact that he got away with the lie devalued his faith and spurred him to quit Scientology.
