In 1925, Hitler had been recently released from prison. He used to practice his speeches in front of a mirror and asked photographer Heinrich Hoffmann to take some stills for him to review later. On deciding which movements and gestures were the right fit, Hitler asked Hoffmann to destroy the negatives. Hoffmann did not.
97. 1966: Muhammad Ali Knocks Out Cleveland Williams
At the Astrodome in Houston, Texas, in 1966, Muhammad Ali knocked Cleveland Williams out in their title fight. Williams retired after this fight, though made a comeback later on. The ariel image was Neil Leifer’s (the photographer) favorite shot of his 40-year career.
